hooray for the ellipsis ... :highfive:

Really? :XD: I can't stand it when people do that just because I associate that with sadness. It seems to imply that the sentence was stretched out and that's how people tend to sound when they are sad or irritated.

So when I go "Great job!" and the person says "Thank you...", I wonder what I did wrong. :O_o:

Now if it's in the middle of a sentence, it comes off like they are stretching it out for dramatic effect. "And the winner is...Jason!" Or perhaps even anti-climatic. "And the winner is...Joe." The "." at the end sounds like the build up wasn't for anything exciting. Then again, the could just be a really calm person saying it. :confused:

...That could just be me, of course. Perhaps I look into things too much. ^^;

It's nice to know that it's just a habit for some though. I'll try to keep that in mind. :)

What do you live for?
:icontppgraphics:
Heh, thanks! :D Yes, I understand that now. It's just that I look into things too much sometimes and, well, I am quite paranoid. Mix the two together and things get a little...special. So sometimes I think something is worse than it is. It doesn't help that it's hard to read tone over the internet, so I look for signs to figure it out. ( It's one of the reasons why I like and use emoticons quite a bit. It helps express the tone of the comments )

I'm glad to hear that it's just a habit for some. I'll have to learn to identify when that is the case. :nod:

You're welcome! :hug: Thanks for saying that it was intelligent. That makes me feel really good, honestly. :blush:

Thank you! :hug: I really appreciate it. :D

I don't know what I would do without emoticons in general on the internet. :o But yeah, I know what you mean ( even though I don't use MSN )! :giggle:
